Kim McGlone

Kim McGlone is an Architectural Designer and Operations Manager at Root Architects. A long-term El Paso resident, Kim returned to school after a successful career in banking and dedicated service with multiple civic organizations to pursue her passion for the built environment. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University, followed by a Master of Architecture from Rice University. While at Texas Tech, she also completed a certification in Historic Preservation and expanded her academic experience through extensive travel and study in Europe, Southeast Asia, and across North and South America.

After graduating, Kim returned home to El Paso and joined Root Architects with a focus on delivering relevant, innovative architectural solutions that strengthen and celebrate the region. In addition to her professional work, she serves as an instructor at the Texas Tech Huckabee College of Architecture in El Paso, mentoring the next generation of designers. Kim is also an active civic leader, serving as a Commissioner on the Historic Landmark Commission for District 1 and contributing her expertise to several local community boards.
