This project involved the renovation of an existing grocery store building to accommodate a new 35,000-square-foot outpatient clinic for El Paso Children’s Hospital. The work was divided into two phases: interior renovations and exterior facade improvements.

The clinic program includes 30 exam rooms, 10 chemotherapy infusion bays, an X-ray suite, a lab, administrative work areas and offices, doctor’s offices, a central lobby, and a waiting area.

During the design phase, the team conducted several planning charrettes and meetings to gather user group feedback and facilitate the exchange of vital information. While under construction, the design team implemented multiple client-requested changes, closely coordinating with the contractor to ensure minimal impact on the project schedule and budget.
