The project was a renovation of an existing grocery store building to accommodate a new 35,000 S.F. outpatient clinic space for El Paso Children’s Hospital. The project was divided in two phases, interior renovations and exterior facade renovations. The clinic program consists of 30 exam rooms, 10 chemotherapy infusion bays, X-Ray suite, lab, administrative work areas/offices, doctor’s offices, a central lobby and waiting area. Throughout the design phase of the project, our team held several planning charrettes and meetings to allow user group feedback and vital information exchange. While under construction, the design team implemented several changes requested from the client while closely coordinating with the contractor to ensure minimal project schedule and budget adjustments.
