Quisa Reyes

Quisa Reyes was born and raised in El Paso, TX, and proudly calls it her hometown. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture, followed by her Master of Architecture at The University of Oregon. She was attracted to UO Portland because of its strong focus on sustainability and urban design. She gained a wide range of experience working for over ten years at firms specializing in commercial adaptive reuse, affordable multi-family housing, and urban infill projects with locally owned small businesses. One of her most notable works in Portland was designing and managing the Tomorrow Theater, which is an adaptive reuse vintage movie theater renovation for the Portland Art Museum. Quisa volunteered for several organizations in her spare time, teaching elementary students with Architects in Schools and working with Depave to empower disenfranchised communities by transforming over-paved places into resilient green spaces. Quisa moved back to El Paso to be closer to family and continues her volunteer work locally with community-building organizations. She is honored to use the skills she has acquired to make a positive difference in her hometown
